Kris and I are in Vegas, already drunk and having a great time!

Sorry I have been absent for a while now. I wanted to give you a update. Kris, Kyle and I are in AZ this week. We are visiting the in laws who winter down here. The weather is awesome, and I have gotten so tan that I now look like a regular white person. Not just the pasty white that I usually am.

Tomorrow Kris and I leave Kyle here in AZ and fly to Las Vegas for the weekend. This is the first time we have gone away together since having Kyle. I am very much looking forward to it. We were meeting another couple from CO in Vegas for the weekend, but they have been snowed in, and will be moving their vacation a day back. So we will still meet them there for one night, and have one night to ourselves.

Looking Forward

So I am looking forward to today. Early this morning my two me left to go Jeeping with friends. Leaving me with the day to myself. So I am choosing to go get a pedicure with friends, then a nice peacful lunch. It seems like forever since I have done this. And I am so looking forward to it.

So this weekend while out shopping I visited pottery barn kids. We saw these chair backers for Easter, and thought that they were cute. But a little too girly. So I told my sister in law that I would make our boys some. I think they turned out pretty cute. You can place your Easter gifts inside the pockets, for a Easter morning surprise. I though that if you have kids and you like these, I would make these for your homemade gifts. If you don't have kids I will figure something else out.

Daddy Daddy

So it has happened. I am now officially chop liver. Kyle wants nothing to do with me. He wasn't to play with Daddy. He wants Daddy to get his food. The other day when walking past his room he was waking up form his nap, and started calling out "Daddy" instead of "Mommy". My heart was officially broken.

When Kris left after lunch to go back to work on Monday, Kyle threw the biggest fit, that I have ever seen from him. Yelling Daddy. He didn't want him to leave. Its so sad to see.

Will he ever com around to being a Mommy's boy again? Or am I just screwed?

Nice to Have him Home

Sorry I have been absent this week, I have been enjoying time with My Hubby. It has been really nice to have him home. I have been able to do things like take a shower without Kyle peeking around the curtain. Today I will even venture out to the shopping world with out Kyle. Such a luxury.

Another reason that I have been absent this week, is that we have been hosting family. Kris' Dad was here the first couple of days. This weekend we are hosting his sister, her husband and child. Yesterday We drove to Denver and spent the day at the aquarium. The little boys loved it. I'm not sure what Kyle liked more, the fish, or the other kids in the aquarium. He kept running off trying to play with other families kids. He is one social little kid.

So I will let you know more about him being home early next week, as Kris goes back to work on Monday.

Tomorrow

So tomorrow is the big day. Kris will finally be home. I am so excited I don't know how to describe it. Maybe like a kid in a candy store whose parents just told him/her that they could have anything they wanted. I don't know what to do with myself. I think I have the house all prepared. Now I am just sitting here waiting. I keep on checking the same old websites, to see if anything is new. I can tell you, not much gets updated on a Sunday.

So I would like to Thank all of you out there that prayed for Kris safety over the past 11 months. We have appreciated it. And I can tell you it worked, since he will be home safe tomorrow morning.

I will try to get photos posted sometime tomorrow afternoon. And if you don't hear from me, then you will know that I am having fun spending time with My Husband.
